Hey guys,

Im having trouble overclocking my cpu. I can get it to 2.79, but when it gets to even 2.8 it crashes and restarts before loading. I know a little bit about vcore voltage and multiplier and such, yet I cant seem to get past 2.7.

Here are my specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 @ 2.40
Thermaltake TR2 600W
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
After market Cooler Master heatsink and fan for cpu

Ive been trying all sorts of different settings in the bios with no results. I have searched all over the internet and have tried different things but still havnt been able to get past 2.8ghz. Just looking for someone to help me out, walk me through, or whatever, no arguments or bulls**t. If you need more information i can give it. Thanks guys! Help me out!

what is the current vcore you are using?
you should be fine with 1.30v to 1.35v
what is the FSB set to right now?

You can either be part of the problem or be part of the solution.
