Blue screen. Unable to access safe mode
 Date Written

Hi, a couple of days ago I got the BSOD. The problem identified as cache_manager. So I tried to access safe mode but every time it gets to the screen where the drivers scroll past and as it gets to the one for 'disc' it freezes and gives me the blue screen again.
It says to disable caching and shadowing. I have no new hardware installed.
I have gone into the boot menu and tried disabling the internal drives, even physically removed the ram boards. Basically trying anything and everything. But it will not let me into safe mode. I would be content with formatting the thing as I have everything backed up but I can't even do that. Can anyone help?

Go to msconfig ( click Start, Run, and then type in msconfig and hit Enter) the system configuration utility box comes up.
You should see several tabs across the top. One of them, when selected, has, in the middle of the page, a box you can check that says "Safe Boot". . check that box, and then click Apply and Ok and it will prompt you to restart the computer. It will boot up in Safe Mode.
