I have been getting the driver failure (igfx) daily every time I use my computer after about 3-4 times I get the blue screen telling me to disable the BIOS memory options such as caching and shadowing. It then tells me to use the safe mode to remove or disable components and then restart the computer, press F8 to select advanced start-up options, and then select safe mode. It also states the physical memory dump completed.

I am in Safe Mode with Networking right now and have for almost and hour with no driver errors yet.

Any guidance would be so appreciated, my daughter's HP Laptop just went to Staples today for a virus and cost me $250, if I had to bring this Gateway to them for another $250 I could have bought a new laptop. :)

did you disable the bios caching option in BIOS?
i would try updating the driver graphics card. you can either try an update or uninstall it completely and re-install it.
IGFX is Integrated GraFX (Graphics)

is the laptop running hot at all?
how old is it?
what operating system are you running?
can you provide the computers specifications? make, model, etc

You can either be part of the problem or be part of the solution.

.
Were I the customer, I'd demand to see an itemized list of exactly what Staples did for that $250...time actually spent hands-on with the laptop, any software or hardware costs passed on to the customer, etc. It should include a detailed explanation as to the "why XYZ was necessary" for each and every expense.

(By the way, IMO time spent for running a "set and forget" unattended program (e.g. a "2 hour" drive formatting, a "1/2 hour" backup, an "8 hour" disk or memory test, etc) does NOT count as "billable hours" at a 100% rate. I'd also look for "minimum" billable hour increment line-items...e.g. where any activity from 1 to 29 minutes is logged and billed as 1/2 hour...a favorite billing practice of attorneys)
