I've bought a new computer which I built I've put it all togather and installed windows 7. It was working fine untill I installed the drivers which come on a cd with the motherboard. Now when I shut down I get a blue screen. Any ideas? How to fix this?
This is what I bought.
I7 2600k 3.4GHz
Gigabyte z68-xp-UD3 motherboard
Quadro 600 Graphics card
And Windows 7 64bit
Abit Quad GT - Mobo
Quad Core E6600 - CPU
4Gb DDR2 6400 - RAM
8800 GTX 758MB - Graphics Card
750 Gb Maxtor - Hard drive
Windows Vista Home Premium
Sounds like there's something in there that's clashing. I'd go through the 'Computer' and 'System Devices' in Device Manager and update the drivers one at a time; let it search the internet for them.
What does the ID line on the blue screen say? Might give a hint as to what the problem is, even if it's only showing the area of effect, rather than the actual cause.
~ The manual said "Requires Windows '95 or better" ...so I installed Linux!
