This is all over the news. Here is one link, http://www.businessweek.com/ap/2012-05/D9UI37E81.htm

Apparently, he claimed to have dual degrees in accounting and computer science in his credentials / resume. His computer degree was non-existent. In fact, the college he went to did not and still does not offer computer degree at all!

I would like to ask, what in the world does the Yahoo HR department do?! That's a simple background check, which should have caught in the interview process. Not to mention for a high profile position like CEO!! I once interviewed a candidate along with my colleagues, asked him some technical questions regarding a skill he claimed to have in his resume, quickly we could tell he did not possess the skill at all. He was not hired, obviously.

Should he be fired? Yes! If not, this will set a bad example for others, by saying falsifying credentials is Ok to do, when it's supposed to be ethically wrong.

I was going to say, that if he's doing a good job then let him stay but you're right that it sets a bad example. Wow, this shows you how lazy some departments are.
