Hi. I'm having a weird problem with my Vaio (VGN-FW31M).
Here's a summary of the problem:
AC plugged in, no battery.
Failed to boot up, LED light on, but turned off like it does when there's no AC and no battery left, after doing this, turned back on but screen was black, laptop failed to boot up.
AC plugged in, battery inserted.
I have a battery that no longer keeps charge, I tried using it with the AC turned on. Laptop booted normally.
Removed battery, tried booting with AC, same problem as before (day 1). Tried inserting battery again, problem persisted. Checked if ram was loose, everything in place.
Tried booting again with battery inserted, laptop booted normally, is currently working.
I contacted a store that fixes laptops and Vaios in particular, they told me it's possible that the problem lies in the graphics adapter, which is prone to fail in Vaio laptops. But if that were the case, why is the laptop working normally now? It just seems completely random...
Any help is appreciated.
