I need to learn where all the different voltages from the power supply go to in a computer. Does anyone know of a good site that explains computer power consumption?

Its simple, the psu are in watts and this is worked out on the power of the system kit.

each voltage clip is for an object, such as the HD's grapihics cards, MOBO.

some cards will will work on 5.5v where it will say in the manual and you'll see the clip.

the 5.5 run HD's (or is it the 12V) you will find information on the power of the hd form its makers website.

basicaly get the correct type AMD or Pent, as there are two different plugs or it will have both. on a general system a 350 watt psu will work, twin Hd's and power graphics along with lots of USB's and other devices inc fans, will need a higher spec PSU say 450, haveing to much is not a bad thing.

if you looking to plug it all in read you mobo manual as it will tell you there or on the PSU manual.
