The only way to see the TOP bar with the drivers is writing something in the SEARCH box.. then a bar will appear with the DRIVERS button!

but by the way i have the problem with my 9600 Pro
it was working fine on my old pc :
AMD 1.4Ghz
256 DDR PC2100

but now since i bought this
AMD XP 3000+
512 DDR PC3200

i got the problem discussed here.
tried Catalyst 3.6 to 3.8 ... always same problem..
tried disabling fast write in bios same thing
when i run in 4X i can play for 5 minutes
but when i ruun in 8X i got the VPU Revocer message on desktop (with only ie running) and on every game main menu.

ya retard... you can get drivers for other OS's lol. ATI has one bad card, but they still make way better cards then nvidia. until nvidia makes better bang for buck cards that will actually run dx9 games better, i'm still gonna stick with ATI.

are you guys downloading the bundle of the catalyst 3.6-3.8 that comes with the display drivers, control panel, and the WDM drivers? I havnt tried this myself but I think thats whats causing these freezes... the 3.5 drivers don't bundle the WDM drivers but you download all the files seperately and it seems everyone can use the 3.5 drivers. I just dont want to try because I have my system running good with the 3.5 drivers and ive tried so many drivers already that im too lazy to try it.

well i tried an ATI Radeon 9200 PowerColor on my PC and ive been able to play for about 15-20 minutes then it crashed just as with the 9600... so now im thinking it might be a PS issue in my case... what do you think ?
because it look like the 9200 need less power to run but after time it lockup just as the 9600 does. so i dont think its a graphic card problem. but where should i check .. or what should i test to find out the problem ?

but dont on this one :
AMD Athlon XP 3000+
512 DDR PC3200
Abit KV7
280 or 300W PS

on the XP 3000 :
the ATI 9600
-have difficulty to run even on desktop in 8X, im getting the VPU
Recover message and can lockup after about 30 second of 3d
rendering
-in 4X it works fine on desktop but lock up after about 5 min of 3d
rendering
the ATI 9200 (didnt try in 8X)
-in 4x it lockup after 20 minutes of 3d rendering

hope this can help a bit more.

Get a Damned 400 watt PSU or higher and try different mobos, ram, another option is sending RMA to ati requesting for repair u send in card when they reply to confirm u sending card and they should find a Defect and replace the card

newer processors that run faster do draw more power in it seems

id recommend atleast a good quality 300watt PSU. There are cheap brand PSU's that are just terrible.

what do you guys have your AGP voltage set to? whats your default?

I've set my agp i/o voltage from 3.3 to 3.4 and the card runs fine now without freezes. Catalyst drivers 3.2

My agp voltage is 1.48v Epox KRA2+ wit agp4x + No fastwrite everything works. BUT EVERYTHING SHOULD WORK WIT AGP8X and wit fastwrite! ATI SHOULD GIVE AT LEAST 9700CARDS for everyone who bought the S**T 9600....
Going to change my card to FX5600ULTRA or FX5900 i've always had nvidia cards before this s**t9600 and they all worked fine: voodoo2 ,geforce2 ,geforce4mx440 ,G4ti4800SE...
G4Ti4800se gave 13000Benches on old marker and new 9600 gives 8500marks?
