History of Reincar
Reincar (short for reincarnation) was my first REAL PC ("Real" meaning having a deicated GPU and powerful processor) that allow me to do the things beyond that was near the realm of cool. Reincar started out as HP micro tower that had a Athlon 64 4200+ X2, 1GB of RAM, 250GB Seagate HDD, and a Hauppauge PVR, with a Radeon x1650Pro that i added in. i acquired him in March of '06 for an undisclosed amount from a friend. why did go with a prebuilt machine you ask with myself being an enthusiast? because it was brand new and extremely cheap. from there, my love affair with PC gaming and multimedia encoding began.

for most of that summer, i enjoy a beautiful life with my HP as it dutifully did what ever i threw at him. BF2 and Quake 4 memories are in abundant supply from that time as well as tons of movie rips, custom Naruto music videos, and analog cable records.. everything was gravy until September of that year. ever since i started playing BF2, i wished i could communicate with my team via VOIP and i didn't have a headset. so on day with $20 in hand i went to my local Best Buy and bought a Logitech headset. from their, life with my little HP spiraled out of control.

after spending what seem like an eternity of troubleshooting and reinstalling BF2, i just couldn't get them to work. in a fit of frustration, i threw the most powerful leg kick i could muster into the right side of the case, knocking it over and killing the video signal to my monitor. as HP laid motionless on the floor, i limped to my room for the pain in my right foot was almost crippling fuming at my PC. an hour later of cooling down and collecting my senses i returned to HP, not knowing at the time, i had actually killed him.

Trying to turn HP on was met with futilism as he did not display anything on screen except for a blank, black image and the uncharacteristic sound of his CPU fan spinning at full speed. this is when i knew, something was wrong. only after tearing HP down to individual components did i realize the extent of his damages. everything look as though he was intact and should be working except his CPU. within the array of 939 gold pins, 2 were missing. i peered back into the case and their, in the ZIF socket, those two same pins remained attached. my heart sank into oblivion. . . .
