Iwill has taken an already excellent product in the KK266, improved upon it, and the result is an even better product. Simply put, this is the absolute best KT133A motherboard on the market, no matter how you slice it. It overclocks better than an Abit, and is more stable than an Asus.
The question is, though, not whether the KK266Plus is a good option, but whether a KT133A board in general is a good option, with the availability of DDR chipsets now. Generally, our advise is that those seeking an upgrade look into KT133A boards, as they may be able to use their old memory, while those building complete new systems should check into DDR, as the cost of a complete DDR system isn't much more than that of a PC133 system. However, with the prices of PC133 and Athlons where they are, the KK266Plus, combined with a 1.2+ GHz Athlon and 256 MB of PC133 is looking like a pretty attractive option, no matter what your perspective.
In the end, the decision is yours. DDR is still advancing rather slowly, and we're confident that PC133 is going to be around for some time still. Nevertheless, it is an 'older' technology, one that is on its way out sooner or later, and that's something that ought to play into a purchase or upgrade decision.
In any event, if you decide to go the PC133 route, then the Iwill KK266Plus is the absolute cream of the crop. It just doesn't get much better than this, folks. To our readers; you will not be disappointed with this board. To Iwill; nicely done.
