Conservative aesthetics, compact components, wired and optical Dolby audio decoding and channel selection, with adequate cabling for the common one-bedroom apartment lifestyle. Price-performance is superb. Similar to the HardwareAnalysis.com
review, the satellite speakers lack treble, convincing my ear of a peak between 3k through 8kHz. The ported bass enclosure excessively booms in band-resonance for music audio, and the decoding pre-amp is virtually useless without its companion remote control. But, a very fine system to complete an audio/video center when combined with video source and video monitor -- a great long-term introduction to Dolby 5.1, less-invasive and portable.
I recommend this to shoppers, yet this assembly may be out of production. Reference the ADS 4000, and a large array of new speaker models and bundles.
MidiLand, thank you.
