Something with digital sound out and a HiFi (Home Theater system) with didgital sound in (ofc). (cost me almost the same as "good speaker system" and I have DVD/VCR recorder as a bonus - Last item for liquidation sale. ;) )

Granted my board supports it anyways.. and happens to be nForce2. ..Oops. :)

i have an nforce2 board too, but i only get PCM audio thru my digital out... but i have the MCP southbridge... do you have the MCP-T? thats supposedly where u can get Dolby Digital 5.1 in games... any why did nvidia take that feature out with the nForce3?? it makes me not want to buy an AMD64 now... since even the Audigy 2ZS cant encode DD5.1 in realtime... :(

Yes. MCP-T.. It wasn't my original choice for a board.. (nForce).. but the other option was to order by mail. This was purchaced locally.

Three or almost four months after, The Soyo board I was looking at was available elsewhere.. but it (The ASUS board I have) hasn't been too trublesome.. (Ignoring BIOS problems)

The only thing I can select in games is the regular 3D Audio. I can't select Hardware3d Audio.

I'm too lazy to save the money for a soundcard even thought it would sound 1000000x better than my crappy onboard.
