water in my laptop fried the motherboard should be an easy fix, but I can't find where to buy a replacement MB for a Sony Vaio PCG-GRV670

You find your replacement motherboard from SONY...
you are now over THEIR barrel...
They want over $600...
it doesn't feel good, does it?

This is what I did with an otherwise perfectly FINE, cosmetically PERFECT notebook computer:

Why, you might ask?
Well, thanks to SONY's design flaws, and refusal to acknowledge same, it is now CHEAPER for me to buy ANOTHER IDENTICAL, WORKING LAPTOP on eBay than to get it REPAIRED from the manufacturer... SONY wants to replace the motherboard, and its just not cost effective to do so... makes a certain amount of sense, I'd rather replace it then pay for a potentially failure prone aftermarket quickfix with no guarantee.

So, in the spirit of SONY's 'REPLACE DON'T REPAIR' school of design, I released my frustrations BY RUNNING IT OVER WITH A TRUCK and SWEARING to **NEVER, EVER, EVER BUY ANOTHER SONY PRODUCT AS LONG AS I LIVE**

I'm going to vote with my dollars and replace it with a more inexpensive, used laptop from another company.
I will NOT be purchasing another SONY laptop or product.
I suggest you do the same.
I suggest it to my friends.
I suggest it to my family.
I suggest it to people in electronics stores looking at SONY computers and equipment.
I suggest you do the same.
