I wouldn't pay more than $50 for a used 9500 pro. You can get them on eBay for $40-$60.

If it's been OCed, you might consider something else. Like a new 9600 pro for ~$100

Why its still a pro...lol right.Im not looking for a super performer. Just a nice cheap and stable card that will game when called on to do so.And of course im gonna softmod it if i can to a 9700.

ReFl3x has a good point. Inline memory is 128bit and not soft-mod-able. L shaped memory is 256bit and may be soft-mod-able.

Ya, I have the 9500 np and L shaped memory, but it sill doesnt softmod well, get tons of artifacting... (all the textures).

My 9500 (OC'd as below) gets just over 3700 3dmark03.

That beats a lot of the 9600pro's (and XT's).

I say go for it for under $80.

The steppings for a 9500 Pro can only be softmodded into a 9700 Pro. WHY because they Both have 8 pixel Pipelines. In other words, if you can find a 9500 Pro, then you are in real luck.

The 9600XT only has 4 pixel Pipelines. The 9500 Pro is faster than the 9600, 9600Pro & 9600XT. The only thing is that the 9600XT has faster clock speeds.

Dasun "Blood Brother"

Thats why i want this card. .But i would rather have a nice 9500pro than a ati 9600anything or a nvidia5700 or under. If i can get this card for half the price of a new 9600 and its faster how can i lose out .right?
