I still thnk the mods should delete this. I mean, I have no problem with you posting that somewhere else (well, I guess I do, but I'm not going to complain about it), but this is for computer-related stuff, and no, that doesn't count because it was done on a computer. This is supposed to be a site for all ages, we're here (or at least I am) to help others with their computer problems, and to ask a question when we need help. Well, I guess that guy who posted this does need help, and no I'm not talking about with his comp, I'm talking about with his brain.

I sure do, and this is what I'm talking about. This is put in the section with all the rules when you start a new discussion topic.
"Off topic, but relevant, posts are allowed in "Off Topic" forum only."
Do you see the "but relevant" part in there?
Now I, personally, don't have too much of a problem with someone putting something in that has nothing to do with computers. What I have a problem with is that this is a site for all ages, and this topic is most definitely not a topic for all ages.

Josh, did you notice the warning I posted in BOLD above the link???

also define relevant?

i agree that this site is about helping poeple with IT problems (which if you care to check, i have helped a number of people to solve probs, and also take part in some of the intelectual discussions on here), however if there are youngsters who are viewing the clip (Again i will highlight my warining above the link!) then it is really upto there parents/guardian to make sure they arent looking at anything inapporiate.

If we all went your route (we cant do it becuase it isnt relevant, or someone young/easily offended might see it) nothing interesting, new or innovative (or funny :) ) would be put on the internet. It is a form of censorship that you are (indirectly) advocating.

I appologise if the clip offended you but you were warned about its content

First of all, that tom riddle guy has posted that same thing in about every topic. It's really annoying.
Secondly, I didn't click on the link. Didn't need to. I got enough info from your posts and a little too much info from other posts to know that I shouldn't click on the link. I don't know what your problem is, it's not just you, but also some of the guys that replied to it. Keep that kind of stuff to yourselves. It's bad enough for you to look at that kind of stuff, but then to post it so that others will want to look at it, too. As I said before, I'm not going to complain about you guys looking at it, but when you tempt others to also do so, Well, there I get offended.

Some people just don't have a sense of humour when it comes to things like this. Not been nasty or anything Josh and I don't want to cause an argument but if you don't like the content then you can either:

Not look at the post
Not say anything
Or if it does come to it which I hope it doesn't - Leave the forum

Sorry but its only a funny vid. Its not hurting anyone :)

Seriously, everybody does it, and this unlucky(or stupid) bugger got caught!

PS, did he kiss the screen at one point? lol, imagine trying to explain lips on the screen to a curious roomy.

Personaly I wasn't offended by the video clip, and though I can see it's not appropraite for younger members, there is far more offensive stuff thats easily avalible.

I was more offended by the post by Defguy than the video it's self.

*edited* (sorry AZEEM)

Sorry AZEEM, I was thinking of the wrong thread, you did kinda make a dodgey post in the thread about 'the messy video card' but not this thread. (I got confussed).

Very Sorry......

My point still stands about Defguys post though.

I still think that you could:

1. Keep this kind of stuff to yourself.
2. Create your own forum for this kind of stuff.
3. Send an email with a link to that site to your parents (depending on how old you are), and see what they think about it.
4. Send an email with a link to that site to a bunch of your friends, and see how many you have left after a couple days.
5. Do pretty much whatever you want, except for post offensive content on a site intended for all ages.

I sure hope you could find one of those that appeal to you.

Don't worry about it so much, Josh. You're really overstressing over nothing. Any of our "younger" members who want to see porn can freely go get it. This is really minor when you think about the other stuff out there on the Internet.

Not an option, because if i (and others kept everything to ourselves, there would be no trasnfer of knowledge, be it intelectual or comical)

2. Create your own forum for this kind of stuff.

Dont have to when i have a number of forums that i am registered to, and you are the only one who has complained

3. Send an email with a link to that site to your parents (depending on how old you are), and see what they think about it.

Dont have to. It is my PC (i paid for and built it) that i view it on, and i am 23 so am technically an adult so dont have to seek my parents approval

4. Send an email with a link to that site to a bunch of your friends, and see how many you have left after a couple days.

I did, all of them ;)

5. Do pretty much whatever you want, except for post offensive content on a site intended for all ages.

Ok to please you i will do. Anything that i post like this in future will be marked with a warning along the lines of:

Warning. This link contains information which may offend some, therefore i take no responsibility for any offence it may cause..

Nice! You always have to have the last word.
Well, I didn't say that you should keep everything to yourself. Just stuff like what this topic was formed for.

I never said that you needed your parents approval, I was just saying that you should see how they would react.

You have sick friends if none of them replied back negatively.

You don't really address my last comment. From what you are saying, I take it that you will not hesitate to post another topic along the same lines, which I am sad to hear.
