Why do consumers put up with being human guinea pigs?

People should not buy this new kit until it has been properly tried and tested by the company.

And if it does not work, people should demand refunds from the likes of NVidia for unfinished software and hardware. Vote with your hard earned money.

Think of Windows ME, 98 FIrst Edition, XP (pre service packs) aswell.

Governments of the world: protect your consumers.

I agree.

Imagine buying a car or a TV only to find it didn't work and you had to re-build the engine or re-wire the house before it would work. There would quite rightly be an outcry. Honestly, I think us enthusiasts are our own worst enemies sometimes. When something doesn't work first time we just keep on trying to fix it when perhaps we should just return it an say it wasn't fit for purpose...

I'm not a pessimist. I'm just optimistically challenged.
