THOMAS STEWART VON DRASHEK

People saying they get 14,000-16,000 are talking about 3D 03', not 3D 05'

Those results I posted were done with extreme 75.90, and the system is thus far very stable. Nvidia's tweaking utility however locks it up, and I think it has something to do with either the
gigabyte tweaking program still existing on my computer, or the beta drivers themselves. I hope I figure it out soon.

If you are talking about nTune, then the Gigabyte SLI board isn't supported. It says so on nvidia.com

http://www.nvidia.com/object/motherboards.html

I tried it too and kept getting lockups and BSOD's. Then I went to their site and discovered that our mobo isn't even supported. :-(

Question for Armageddon: Does your floppy drive work? For some reason I can't get mine to see disks.

Armageddon, w/ your 3D 05', & 3D03' scores, I would think you would be up in the 2XXXX range in 3D 01'

I got no problem with my floppy, but my DVD burners kept churning out coasters, untill I installed Gigabyte's IDE driver. Nero still has major problems, and I settled on Roxxio for now.
...and yes Dark Fiber, you're absolutely right! I completely forgot about ntune not working with my mobo. Their own (gigabyte's) tuner sucks and is not a fire-and-forget program, since you got to set the memory and core clock every startup. I should have trusted my instincts, and went with MSI. In terms of driver-BIOS support for their products, they are simply unbeatable! Gigabyte and ASUS are completely useless when it comes to improving their products through updates.

This cut & paste is about $6,950 system Ultra sli "113-fps Halo score (both at 1,600-by-1,200 resolution) show that game play, even at the highest resolutions and with all features turned on, should be free of the hiccups plaguing lesser systems. The Torque.SLi's 3DMark05 scores... " Thats quote from "pc world" article yesterday. Guess gitters are pretty common on most ultra sli systems built so far,is what it implies. Also below that article, poster who does video editing professionally states that sli system bought in oct '04 is great disappointment. So AG is not alone by any means. Saw private website where someone in Feb '05 set up 6800Ultra sli & clocked it at 5,635 in 3c'05. I believe its "state of art", not AGS' set up thats at fault.
OK why try 3d'05 here? Well my "lilltle" unit has direct x 9 with direct x 9c loaded into it. Board was amoung first for directx9, it "anticipated" it & left memory to be filled in when direct x 9 came into being about 4 months after board was introduced. It has that space now filled in. So test will be "true", it might be intresting to see how flat out early entry will do, best reason to try. So because its possible, albeit, bottom edge.I notice 3d'05 test download link in your driver recomendation right after I asked for adddress,as well as direct reply WOW 200 plus mb, well this will take little time, yet I can slowly get it in & oogle my score. Thanks for being so kind with AG worries & informative.

Armageddon> It appears my floppy issue was with the floppy drive itself. I sent it back to Newegg (although considering how cheap they are and what it costs to mail them back it almost isn't worth sending back but just ordering a new one).

FYI... I burned 1 CD-R so far with my Plextor 716A (IDE version) and it seemed to work fine.

Hey OCG, try this one for comparison:

Hope the link works, and if not try finding project named Armageddon 05-2. Thanks for your help.
