There is a difference to the silicon as well :)

I take it that there working on the cores and processor setups due to the fact that there peaking out on what they currently have leading to extreme limits, not that there is much difference between the 1MB and 512KB Caches..

I think that this may be because AMD's CPU are not that hot on 64 Bit OS's as the intels are and with intel having 2 MB caches the competitions there!

Nice research did you find out anything about the 3200+ of these new cores. Are they as good of overclockers as the 3500+.Your 3200+ seems to OC pretty nice even without the SEE3 instruction and E core

Sweet cause im looking at the 3200+ because it's a little cheaper but im hoping much faster than my P4 2.8 at 3.5ghz.Im just getting a board (msi neo 2 think its ) and cpu 3200+ and another 120 seagate sata HDD for raid 0.Im keeping what i have now(ram+video card+HDD+psu etc) but im gonna get some TCCD ram down the road abit..And the later a pci-e board and a x800xl or a 6800GT.I dont think im doing SLI.Im a little old to need all that power

Hahaha, never too old. Well, by then, ATI will have there ATI Multi Render (ATI's SLI) out which is said to be allot faster than NVIDIA's SLI & allot better due to being able to use 2 different Graphic's Card's.

ie:
R520 Core with a X800XL or something ;)

All I know is that AMD is leading by far in performance & price.

So, any Athlon 64/Opteron you get is well worth the $$$ ;)

jimmy geagea, be careful because Monarch Computers has there INFO confused. In most cases they are confusing S 754 INFO with the new S 939 Info.

Hey, has anyone got their grubby mits on one of these yet? I've ordered one but not sure how long I'm gonna have to wait. The supplier will only say they are "on order"....

I'm not a pessimist. I'm just optimistically challenged.
