Would definitely be a cheap alternative. Hopefully we'll see some solid/not too expensive 760MP boards. My home rig here is still an Asus P2B-D with 2 Katmai 600s ... I've yet to find a board that can top this thing. I like the dual CPUs, but I havent been able to upgrade, since I'm not comfy with a dual 133A board, and 840 is a bit pricey for what I need at home. Would be nice to have an alternative, providing the 760MP boards dont end up being just as expensive as an 840 setup.

Hey any motherboard made for AMD is almost always cheaper but the i840 Dual is new and so will the dual AMD board but give it 6 months after release and you could have yourself a infty little speed freek on your hands for pritty cheap :) but time will tell on that one to.
