i dismounted the a drive just to format it, and now im whacking my self in the head for doing it, how do u mount it back? im using windows xp home edition sp2

also how do you reformat, i cant get into msdos

in windows xp it should automagically mount any removeable device including floppy disks.

the is no ms dos in windows xp, but there is a command prompt, goto start->run and type cmd

well, for somereason it always asks me to format a disk and btw it doesnt seem to be mounted, anyway back to the formatting part, i always have to format every different kind of disk in the A drive

how to reformat ?

to format a disk right click the drive in 'My computer' and click format,
if after formatting it still asks you to format it then either the disk or the disk drive is dead
