There's a term for that. In fact Tom Wolfe write a book about it. It's called Mau-Mauing The Flak Catchers. Works best with bureaucrats. You are so polite and nice as you speak to them, it's almost syrupy, while at the same time you are calmly cleaning your fingernails with a 10" Bowie Knife. Also applicable at customer service counters.<g>

UPDATE: Recieved new board on Tuesday (2 days ago) ... dumped it in case ...carefully of course! ... and having identical problems with memory (although i dont get a siren sound when using the 20-24 and 4-8 pin power adaptors and the USB keyboard problem is also fixed) so two out of three problems seem to be fixed with the new board although the major problem still exists (starting to dislike ECC memory).... Techpac have contacted gigabyte and hopefully things will be resolved by the end of today (crosses all body parts other than fingers or its to hard to type!!)

Still have the land to air missile launcher aimed at and ready to be fired in gigabytes direction JUST in case i don't like their reply......

STILL frustrated..........

The ONLY good thing is my Xeon 3.06 arrives tomorrow......YaY i at least have something to look forward to!!
