Dual channel is supported by the motherboard, not the memory.
To use dual channel you need two sticks of identical Ram and put them into your motherboard in the appropriate slots. I couldn't view the link you posted but if it's 2x512mB then you should be able to put the two sticks in seperate.

As for overclocking, I was able to overclock my Athlon 64 4000+ from 2.4Ghz to 2.6Ghz - an 8% increase (same as FX-55) with the stock heatsink and fan. I have 40oC at idle, and max I've got is 63oC while playing Driver 3. I may attempt a 10% increase (2.61Ghz) which shouldn't really change the temps much.
This overclocking was done with ASUS's AI NOS on my A8N-SLI motherboard.
The stock HSF should do ok as long as your case is well ventelated and you've got plenty of fans.
I am however thinking of getting a Thermaltake HSF just to push it that little bit further.

Well actually my bro plays it because I can't stand it.
It only looks good on 1280x1024 with full graphics, and even then it still looks pretty awful compared to the games of today.

The main reason we still have it installed is to test out our CPUs. It's a very CPU intensive game - the only thing that puts the temperatures to the extremes. Just a 8% overclock of my CPU improved perfomance in the game very noticeably.

The NEO4 is a bit crap, its voltage regulator is restricted But other wise its good,

What Graphics are you going to use?

XP120 is a good heatsink. ( check to make sure it fits)
OR
zalman 7200 - PC cooler make a simalar one

The AMD 3000 Will get 2.65Ghz @1.45vcore on stock cooling.

That's a good choice with Motherboard. But Platinum would've been awesome though.

This card would be good :)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814131419

Consider Power Supply again please....STRONGLY suggested.

hmm i read up on the logisys phantom case /w 480w psu.. it seems to be pretty good and can support my rig,, hopefully :)

btw about the x800, i ordered this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127172 ... but is there much performance diff from this one and the one u mentioned?? because this one would be cheaper after mail in rebate technically :) but it has more memory and ddr3 and fasterm mem clock

MSI is always better though. I've edited my earlier post, I thought you were going with Platinum Motherboard. Anyways..that mobo you've picked is also fine though.

hmm so i guess ill get the MSI one then.. whats the difference between the msi and powercolor though any much significant difference?? because technicall the msi is cheaper after rebate.

with the non platinum MB.. would i still be able to OC my 3000 chip to 2.6 on stock HSF liek people say?

MSI has more Vram size, that's the major difference I see, although yes 256MB is standard these days, as games take full advantage of that much size, so I guess you made the right decision.

Although, Power Color is good brand also, but MSI is better :)

Are you sure you want Corsair Value Select?

I think you should consider TwinMOS, Samsung or Kingmax Super RAM, I am also using Kingmax, its a nice Memory, does the 230Mhz..and PCB (815) is manufactured by Brain Power.

Edit:

Cannot say about the overclock on that Mobo, but yes Venice 3000+ is usually a good chip though...you can hit 2.4Ghz easily for sure.

LOL now you want from Zip Zoom Fly?:D

Ok consider this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820156006 (You'll get it with RED PCBs)

Or this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820218060

Or this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820147111

*All are 512MB Modules, order two of them, TwinMOS or Kingmax looks good to me. I am using Kingmax, so far I am happy with it, so I have not hesitation in suggesting you Kingmax Memory, however just remember that Kingmax was the FIRST company to introduce PC-3200 DDR to the market :)

cant order from Newegg becasue when entering my brothers credit info.. i messed up a few times so i cant use that card with Newegg anymore haha

hmm whats the diff between valueselect and the kingmax?? they are both 2.5 latency.. sorry im a computer noob.

they dont have kingmax on ZZF

Usually a Memory performance depends on ICs and PCBs rather than timings or brand names. Kingmax or TwinMOS looks better to me than Corsair of Kingston Value stuff.

Rest is upto you to decide.
