i cannot completely install win98 on the second restart i get a error (boot protection thing) what can i do?????

turn off "Anti-virus protection" in the BIOS.
this setting interfers with the win98 setup because win9x setup needs to edit the boot sector of the drive and your bios is preventing this. usualy this is a good thing to have enabled so you may as well re-enable it when you've installed windows.

the location of the anti virus protection setting depends on your bios. gig out your motherboard manuel and lok it up. on my bios it is under "advanced BIOS features".
