Possibly, but then again, maybe not. Anything else we can do for you?

well if it does, i cant install the raid drivers that came on the floppy becasue i have no floppy drive!!

my new rig is seriously p**sing me off.. i cant get past the windows boot screen, i tried everything. just running one HDD... one stick of ram.. unplugging most stuff... unplugging all of the fancy lights and extra fans.. still reboots right when it gets to the windows xp loading screen. it shows a blue screen for like a split second then reboots!!!!!!!

what can i do now?? i tried reformatting, but when i loaded the winxp cd and it said push any key to boot cd.. i pushed a key and it said something about general protection fault.. followed by a lot of weird characters.

im seriously at the point of frustration where i just want to break all my new stuff :)

another thing that made me mad was that i screwed my mb tightly in and when i tried to pull out my jumpers from the ide slots.. the screws on the MB flew out and now theyre somewhere rolling around in my tower.

edit: could the old HDD from my older system be causing problems on my new one?? but if it does i cant get past the stupid general protection fault when trying to reformat

well i was reading the manual... and it says "supports 2.5v ram" and i noticed that my ram was set to 2.65v.. i changed it to 2.5, but it still wouldnt load up windows, but now it is reading the windows cd.. and i am currently reformatting.

will the winxp cd install the raid drivers itself?? because while the winxp cd was loading .. it said loading raid drivers, etc...

hopefully lowering my rams voltage wouldve fixed the problem and that the blue screen was being ccaused by my old MB drivers and such :p.. ill get back to u guys one what happens.

and how come u said i need the raid drivers and such?? what exactly are raid drivers? i just have plain old HDD's from a long time ago. they connect to hte ide slots

So you're not using raid? I'd suggest you change the name of your thread and maybe give us some detail, to avoid people wasting their time.

Lets start at the beginning-your system specs?

well for some odd reason i turned down my voltage to 2.5v.. and i was able to install winxp all over again, but i had to keep on retrying to install certain files because they wouldnt copy.

now everything runs fine. i turned the voltage back up to 2.65v and its going great.

anyone know why i was running into this problem???
