Age of Empires 3 Demo
Now this is a game i can't wait to get my hands on but after downloading it immediately I haven't been able to get it to load.
Error message is:
initialization failed.
Direct3d initialization failed. possible causes:
Old or corrupted graphics driver (no- updated driver from toshiba site )
Direct3d improperly installed) (not according to dxdiag)
Hardware acceleration disabled (no- acceleration is enabled)
Starting the application with the workstation locked (? no idea what this refers to)

Log file reads: PreGame 9183: nvCPL is unavailable. (any idea what this means?)

Any help would be appreciated as I am at a total loss.

Unfortunatly for you it seems that game designers have been stepping back on their support for mobil video chipsets. I think this is your problem that your vid card on your laptop is not supported and will not run the game.
FYI this is just an idea, I didn't do any resaerch on the subject yet, but I have nitced this from passed experience.
