No mention about the quality settings, Windows junk running, . . .
If this is final production I would prefer some more info like SM supported (that should be easy to know), new AA modes, how AF works, . . .
Simply putting out benches that are a bit slower than 7800GTX, but not by much could be an "expected guess". Ati's reply suggests to me that there is something that isn't right in those numbers (as a new 4xAA superfast mode or something).
I think I will ignore this early numbers and wait for the final specs and numbers.
Besides, 16 pipes at 600 MHz is like 24 pipes at 400MHz.
Ati's real weapon will be the x1300 and x1600 that should be cheap as chips using 90nm technology.
