David Dunmore Sep 19, 2005, 02:59pm EDT Report Abuse
the phone takes pictures OK, and I can view them on the phone, and transfer them to my PC (WinXP SP2) OK (Directly from the transflash via a USB reader). but I don't get thumbnails (or any preview images) in explorer(but I do get a 'no preview available' message), and whrn I try to open the pictures in Photoshop Elements, I get the following error messages:

1) Could not open "F:\mobile\picture\09-09-05_1408.jpg" because an unknown or invalid JPEG marker type is found

2) Could not open "F:\mobile\picture\09-09-05_1410.jpg" because an invalid second SOI or SOFn marker is found

3) Could not open "F:\mobile\picture\17-09-05_1922.jpg" because an invalid number of colors is specified in the JPEG SOS marker.

the pictures won't open in Paint, Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, IE6, FlashMX 2004, or VB6

is the phone faulty, or is there a firmware/software update that may correct the problem.

BTW: there's no problem with phots taken on my ol V220 phone.
