"PC GEEK! hOW OLD ARE YOU EXACTLY? You certainly do't act liek your age you twat.
I was winding you up about the graphic cards. I've just recieved my shipment of my pc, which does include the 7800gtx. I haven't even built the damn thing yet. Man you are so easy to wind up. You spit the dummy real easy.
Besides, ATi IS s**t!

Everyone, watch him spit the dummy at that

I'll post my bench marks once the PC's up n running. Be prepared for a hammering boy"

So at his request we shall have a real ATI vs Nvidia war.

7800 GTX vs X1800XT

I await your benchmarks grasshopper

I'm going to sit back and enjoy the show. A 256 MB GTX wants to take on a X1800XT? heh.

Geek got a question for you....

Will you be willing to lower your clock speed down to match his since both of you will be running AMD X2 +3800's ..???? In this way the test is only based on gpu's. Also..... whatever his BFG GeForce 7800 GTX OC 256MB GDDR3 % over stock speeds make it the same % over stock speeds from a the reg X1800XT on yours ????

Just asking sense this is a test against gpu vs gpu and not letting other factors like cpu help making the final results.

Let do it gentlemen's style. The loser should give up his machine to the winner, including cost of shipping. Fair?

I did that growing up with cars. PC Geek should have his shot at Insert's new hardware.

G_G,

Its stock video vs. stock video. You don't cripple one video card to suit the other's lower clocks. It should be set at what the levels were when the video cards left the factory.

This is not just a contest of video vs. video. Insert said that its machine vs. machine. He set the rules.

Haha, the guy has probably ran away form his computer and hid in the dark corner under his bed. I don't think coparing 512meg XT to 256meg GTX is a fair trial though ;) Now, the 512meg GTX, is a totally different story.

sovietdoc,

Hey. PC Geek wasn't the one that made the challenge. If a guy in a Honda Civic wants to take on a Corvette, I question his wisdom and wish him luck.

You know what, guys? I bet he doesn't even have such hardware. He probably has a 6600GT or something like that and is just stirring up trouble.

Nicely put. I would never have to oover clock mine. It doesn't require it. Show me the benchmarks with out the overclocking PCGEEK.

Where's he gone....??? I think he's deserted us.....perhaps he's out looking for an Nvidia board

....I'm back, but only as a part-timer... :)

"Its stock video vs. stock video. You don't cripple one video card to suit the other's lower clocks. It should be set at what the levels were when the video cards left the factory." - lan

lan,

That is what I was getting at. stock vs stock... the speed at which they left the factory. Right now... geeks X1800XT is highly OC'd.... well he should bring his down to whatever the stock speed for the X1800XT was and Insert's BFG's 7800GTX be at what it was. I mentioned the cpu because they both have the same cpu... make both cpu the same speed and that would leave the cpu out of the picture. This way they only test the video performance only on basis of what it originally was when left at the factory.

But..... on the other hand..... if they are talking about who has the faster "system"....... like in a street racing where you bring whatever you got and lets race for pink slips type of thing....... well..... Insert better hell start OC'n his system to match geek's.

I asked what I asked because I would think they want to test against video vs. video at stock settings to see which is better. Insert did mentioned in the past that he doesnt OC his system components from factory settings.

I wouldn't want to challenge PC Geek, and I have a more powerful video system than the 7800GTX256

Sean Costello,

At stock, the 7800GTX512 is a power house. Yes. At overclocking, its a dog and PC Geek will stomp all over it. Who will want to take on an advanced SLI system with a single card? Its like committing suicide.
