Sorry didn't mean to sound pushy but a couple sales actually end tonight. Okay, I building a system and have narrowed my processors down to a few. The choices are Opteron 165 (good rep around here), Opteron 170, or the X2 4400+. Here's the thing, I may overclock but not to the point where I will need liquid cooling. So if your going to recommend a chip for it's overclocking potential keep it within the realms of air cooling. The other parts I have chosen are as follows.

I'm torn on the video card selection because the only diff is 100Mhz on memory and 4 extra pipelines for a diffrence of $140. Would it make that much of a difference?

I'm also a little confused on the HD. I don't really understand the diff between SATA and IDE. How is the one I chose. I really don't want to spend more than that on a HD.

I would really appreciate your opinions on this build. Thanks a million guys.

Those links don't work. I think maybe you shortened them, which you can't do.
but, to answer your q, I'd go with the 170 if you can afford it.

I guess if you have the extra money, go for the GTX..it'll do you well..

Try and find a S/ATA HDD if you can spare the cash...

I have two 7200.7 80GB drives and have been very pleased with them.

Definitely, definitely go SATA - if nothing else for the fact that you won't have to use those g.d. 4 pin power connectors :)
