Programming is pretty fun, actually. I agree. I'm hoping to get into Win32 programming, and after that, the DirectX platform, as well as the new XNA platform. I'm gonna help program Half-Life 4!! ^_^

And you say you have nothing to do.. lol
When I was just starting programming with C, all my spare time was devoted to some small little progz (which people have already wrote long time ago, but I wanted to write them from scrath by myself... I like to challenge myself). And so I didn't even go out much back then... hehe... But it surely built a strong base for the future.. not only programming skills, but problem solving in general...

Im in Computer Programming II CP. We are still learning Visual Basic 6.0 as we did last year. Its has got to be the stupidest lanuage ever. We will learn some Java towards the end of the year. My teacher is a total n00b.

It's right up there, for sure. However, two good things about VB6:

1) You can get real work done with it. Seriously. It's not nearly as useless as most people would have you believe. Painful, yes; useless, no.

2) If you can get real work done in VB6, you ought to be able to kick ass and take numbers using a non-braindead language (such as C# or VB.NET, on the MS side of the house)! :) Programming in VB6 is like playing basketball with ankle weights...
