the real question is how much money do you want to burn?

are you aiming to have two computers here? or do you intend to sell/get rid of what you have at the moment? with what you have at the moment, i can't understand why you want to upgrade...there isnt a huge amount out there that is better than what you have....not with the mobo you have selected anyway.

ok. for a video card...unless you MUST have one within the next month or so, i'd suggest waiting until nvidia brings out their next set of video cards (around november) and ATI should be releasing early next year. that being said, i'm not sure on what they will cost. however, if you can't wait I would suggest one of these:

If you ever want to get SLI, seeing as though you're getting an SLI motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130023

if you couldnt be bothered with SLI:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102045

these are the top-notch cards at the moment and i'm assuming thats what you want. i apologise if this isnt the case. as for a cpu to go with your motherboard i'd say this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103544

another option for you is to go with a core 2 duo (intel's latest offering). i don't know if you have considered it or outright don't want it, but at the moment, the best of AMD can barely compete.

Do you have those new parts yet??

I sincerely hope not, because there is not 1 person here who would recommend buying them.

Minimum should have been an AM2 system, but you could build a Core 2 Duo system that will be streets ahead of the 939 system for the same price, if not cheaper.

Ok well Im selling my current setup today or tommorrow.

So build onto what I have plz respond a.s.a.p

If my setup so far good?

If not what should I replace it with?

Now intel core duo is better for gaming then the AMD-fx processor's?

Also should I just use the video card on the mother board until novermber for the dx10 video cards??

Im ordering everything from newegg

I was looking at processors and would this be the best on the market for gaming

You should have gotten AM2 or Intel conroe parts. Now i could see you getting some better ram for your current rig and another X1900XT for crossfire but but for a total upgrade which sounds like you want go conroe and DDR2

ASRock Z97 Extreme 4 / i7 4790K / Corsair H80i / 4x4GB Crucial Ballistix Smart Tracer DDR3 1600 / 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black / 240GB Mushkin Chronos Deluxe SSD / 2x Evga GTX 670 FTW 2GB in SLI / Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty / Corsair HX1000w

This is what I suggest for Price/Performance.

- AMD Athlon64 X2 Dual-Core 4200+ @ 2.20 GHz OR 5000+ @ 2.60 GHz Processor (AM2)
- Asus M2R32-MVP ATX Motherboard - ATI CrossFire Xpress 3200 (AM2)
- OCZ 2G (2G X2) DDR2-800 Dual Ch. Plat. REV 2 XTC Edition(4-4-4-16) - OCZ2P800R22G-K (Or other company w/ similar specs)
- ATI or Sapphire Radeon X1900XT(X) PCI-E Video Card w/512Mb (XT or XTX version) And only get one of them. Later on you can always upgrade to another one, or just wait for the DX10 cards.
- Thermaltake Toughpower 750w ATX Power Supply (W0117RU) OR
- Western Digital Caviar SE16 250Gb - 7200rpm - 16Mb Cache - SATA-300 Hard Drive - WD2500KS

Take Care,

Nobody noticed that he picked a Raidmax PSU? Bad choice buddy, scratch that and get a quality brand one.
