For RAM, brand is important, but you can always look up reviews on the lesser brands, I think they are fine as long as they have a good warranty, like the Corsair XMS I have has lifetime warranty.

definantly go with the 2GB of XMS 4-4-4-12 DDR800. i used it twice in 2 different custom builds for a friend and my brother. works like a dream. also, if you wait a couple of weeks, like 2 or 3, nvidia is going to unveil the rest of there dx10 line which will include the mid and budget cards.

Got everything in and running.DDR2 1100 is running great but cpuid is showing my multi as 6x but its at 8 in bios and memory is running DDR900 4-4-4-12 so far with 2.0v. .FSB is 300 so far no voltage increases

cool i just found out i got the newest stepping with native 2mb L2 cache not 4m cache with half disabled and it only needs 12watts

So far 470x7 1.36v and the ram at DDR 940 5-5-5-15 at 2.2v(I need to tweak these they are D9's).But i cant OC at 8x for nothing .Any idea's?.My board came with the F10 bios.


With a single 6800GS and this setup at 3.2ghz i hit 93715 in AQ3 and 15296 in 3dmark03.My best with my single 6800GS and my opty and NF4 was 84000 in AQ3 and 14225 in 3Dmark03

Not to make you double think your purchase or anything, but I had nothing but trouble with the Gold Series in the DDR line. I went through 3 RMA's of the same RAM before they upgraded me to the Platinum line.

But that was with DDR1.

I with Super XP OCZ rule's.Ive nothing but good luck with OCZ.This is my second set of Golds.1 set DDR1 and now this set.

This ram rocks and so does this cpu .
DDR2 800 @4-4-4-12 ( I had the ram at DDR2 1200 @ 5-6-6-15 today@2.3v)and cpu at 8x400=3.2ghz no voltage increase 1.213v
