And why don't replies to articles appear in a forum/latest topics? There's rarely any replies because people forget to look there. The way it is organized (lack of displaying who replied last) makes it much harder to keep up on as well in its current state.

I agree.

Can we also have a easier way to get to your buddy list? Like maybe on the left-hand panel? :) That would be nice.

You know those little text ad things in the posts. The words that are changed into links? When my mouse passes over them the little pop up window opens. Now I can understand that if I pause on them or click on them, but just quickly passing over them with my mouse activates the pop-up. It's like I'm having to navigate through a maze with my cursor when navigating a page now to avoid them. Very annoying. I haven't noticed this level of sensitivity before with the darn things.

I wholeheartedly agree. They pop up when I least expect them and it drives me nuts.

Here, for the gamers out there. Turn off your ad blockers, and mouse through an ad-ridden page. That'll beef up your Counter Strike skills. :)

We're going to do a little experiment and turn them off for logged-in users.

It's a bug/misfeature.. but I see your point, I guess I'll just have to fix it.

Thanks for all your hard work, Vitaliy -- I think everybody here appreciates the improvements to HWA that we've seen lately. :)

Maybe my expectations are too high. :P

Yes, of course what's there now is just a start. Most likely for starters you'll be able to read latest forums threads. Ability to actually login and post will come some time later.

Re: HTTPS, I noticed today that the smileys being put into the left-hand "latest topics" box are from the HTTP server, and Firefox throws up a flag.

EDIT: Whoops, scratch that ... it was a problem on my end. I, for convience's sake, set browser.cache.disk_cache_ssl to true so the site would get written to the disk cache and not flushed with the memory cache on close. Apparently Firefox treats this as a security risk, since while the content would be sitting in the disk cache, it could potentially be tampered with.

Set back to false and all is well. Not that big of a deal since Firefox is always open when I'm logged in.
