recently the keyboard on my acer laptop malfunctioned. the "u" key is constantly pressed down but it's not due to spilled soda or anything physical to the actual key. this prevents me from opening the control panels (windows vista) to futz with keyboard options. i have an external keyboard (usb) but when plugged in the laptop keyboard continues to function.

any help?

If you're able to use the external keyboard all the time, you could disassemble the top of the laptop and pull out the connector between the keyboard and the motherboard.
