Well i had to post something about windows vista. i dont work for MS hell i don't even live in the united states. i am from the caribbean. but i have to say that i could never understand why people have so many problems with vista. i was running vista august or so last year. on what was then not a very new system. todate i have had no major problems like i been seeing in the forums online. i build pcs for a living and decided to swtich to vista for my customers yet again they have not complain about any errors nothing. this leaves me to ask.

1 Is part of the problem people have with vista human error?
2 Is it that most of those who think they know about setup OS realy are just playing around and dont know what they are doing?
3 Bad harware configeration for their setup?
4 Dont use the correct drivers?
i can go on. ok look here if you going to build a system and put vista on at least research what hardware have th e maximum compatibility for vista that will solve a whole heap of problems right off th bat. to sum it up i will continue to run vista i run the hell out of it and i test everything under the sun with it and no problem to date. and as you can see in my specs this is a modest system not a total high end like you power guys.

PS happy new year to all you tech guys i do love this forum and learn alot from being here

It was support for Vista that was the problem. Drivers were not working right, some
drivers weren't even available. Most of these issues the folks were complaining on
HWA were also at the time of release, and for the first few months. A lot of things
have been ironed out.

I actually didn't have any driver problems at all with Vista and didn't see too many of the crashes etc that other people seem to be experiencing. I just didn't like it very much.

Vista really didn't offer anything to compel me to upgrade and I just didn't enjoy using it (I can't really put my finger on why).

Yea, and for the record, I'm more than happy with Vista. I'd never go back to
the gregorian style of XP haha

Meh, the first thing I do when I install a new copy of XP is to set the theme to Windows Classic.......what would that be, Julian? :P

I've heard some of those Gregorian monks were some wild and crazy brothers. Brewing ale...partying all the time...and all that chanting was just an early style of rap.

So... Gregorian Monks are enthralled with Fisher Price-inspired graphical user interfaces?

Er...
