When a post has been deleted from a thread, it will still say that user was the most recent poster such as the linked topic. Any way to fix this? Or would it not even make sense to fix it considering how the latest topics page is handled?

http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/8615/

This should only be temporary and resolve itself shortly thereafter.

Is there a way to view a users history? It would be nice to see every thread started by a user or at least ourselves.

The closest thing is to use Advanced Search and enter your name in "Author":

i know it has been argued many times before it it probably has been mentioned here
(sorry i have not gone through the entire thread)
but i still believe pictures could be a vital part to this forum

They will be. In my mind, they will be listed with an icon along the message and then you could mouse-over to see a small thumbnail and then click to see full-size version.

Really the reason this hasn't been done is that there is a bit of logistics that would be involved. We need to propagate uploaded images to our servers, likely virus-scan them, etc.

I'm getting these e-mail notices of posts in thread that I subscribe to that are 2, 3, or 4 years old, that i would just as soon not subscribe to. Rather than going to communities, it would be nice to have a link on the thread itself to use to unsubscribe to the topic / thread.

I added unsubscribe link directly to "someone posted a reply to your message" emails.

can we implement them into a post?
make a spreadsheet here that shows up visually?

if so, how?

You can either be part of the problem or be part of the solution.

I have it on good authority from a trusted source that keralawebsite.com is a good website with incredible deals. Maybe HWA could parter up with them!
:(
EDIT: I just noticed that HTML tags don't seem to be properly sanitized when returned via search results. I searched for "mcfly code tag", trying to figure out just how long ago I first requested it.

I found a quote from myself: And all

takes is a <pre> tag.

But in the search results, <pre> is missing, and what follows after that in the search results appears to be inside a pre: pre-formatted monospace!

There is one already. But it does seem HWA has made some enemies in the spammer world.

Yep, most (dare I say all) of the spam that gets through is done by humans (typically in various Asian countries) so it is hard to block as they do try to figure their way around.

I suppose you could block creation of more than 2 topics with the same title or content.

Well here is a legitimate suggestion not relating to spam. When unregistered or logged-out users view messages, they see an ad followed by:
Want to enjoy less advertisements and more features? Click here to become a Hardware Analysis registered user.

Well I do believe it should be
Want to enjoy fewer advertisements...

Uncommon grammar!
