LOL

From page 4:

At the lowest resolution it manages to beat out the HD 3870, but as we climb up in the resolution department it manages to drop back a little.

If you look at the graphic above, the HD3870 scores 11653 @ 1280x1024, whereas the 9600GT scores 11385.

Duh! :D

prices will range from 160 to 200 USD

This will be a tempting choice for people who have a tight budget. This will surely spice up the competition with the 3850 and 3870 cards.

I was looking at some benchmarks earlier over on Bit-Tech and they were showing the 9600GT being about equal to the 8800GS 384MB.

Great card. I am surprised how close it managed to get to the HD 3870. As of now the the HD 3870 and the 9600GT have almost identical prices. It will be interesting to see which which people will choose. Deciding what card to get might come down to driver support.

Looks to me like they're banking on nVidia fanboi 7900 users who want to upgrade to a DX10 card making the switch down this path.

God damnit....I'm still using my 7600GT.

I just finished Call Of Duty 4.....awesome game and awesome graphics.

Runs insanely well on this card though on decent settings.

I have "21 days left before the Step-Up window closes." I can only hole, although this card is awesome I wouldn't mind upgrading it to a 9800 if the results are promising, especially on Crysis. :_)
