  Norton AntiVirus 2008
 Date Written
Stephen Bowles Oct 30, 2008, 07:17am EDT Report Abuse
The NAV 2008 software is supplied on a bootable CD, as also are NAV 2005, NIS 2006. Booting from any of these products loads a DOS program and the "A" prompt. The "A" drive is the drive containing the bootable CD. Access to other drives is not possible. My hard drive partitions are formatted to NTFS and my USB drive FAT32.

I can therefore only scan the "A" drive that contains the Norton CD which always comes up clean! What is the point in having this bootable CD when it is useless?

Unusual, but I'd say stay away from Norton anyway.

Search the forums - there are plenty of threads on good AV software.
