Bah, I don't pay any attention to which forum it's in if it's on the latest topics page. Besides, General Technology could mean, uh...battery powered devices, no? 8)

I don't know jack about i7/DDR3, but I can tell you that I absolutely love (as in, Alyx Vance kinda love) this case:

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=pro...ts_id=4257

It is full tower and EATX, so it's kinda omghuge. But lots of room to work on the hardware, and way more room to expand than I'll ever need. If you want something slightly smaller, this one is very similar and also quite nice:

(I seem to remember you being a LL fan...)

check this combo out. It's a lot of bang for your buck.

As far as video cards go I have no clue, but you probably want to look into buying a solid state hard disk for your OS. Newegg is the cheapest on those right now. Oh and as far as ram goes.

two sets of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211367

more than enough right now and you can upgrade later

The mobo, cpu, and ram for about $950 delivered to your door
