I half agree with you. I hate this console generation with a passion... I worked at GameStop for 8 months, and I saw that most of the games are half-baked, uninteresting, bland, etc... tons of hype and politics, but failing to deliver on said hype...

however...

I like my PS2. Only for games that can't be had on the PC though... Tekken 5, Soul Calibur 3, God of War 2, NFS: Hot Pursuit 2... etc. Those are fantastic games that aren't on the PC. (or in NFS's case, HP2 sucks ass on the PC, Xbox, and Gamecube... but is amazing on the PS2... go figure :~)

So if Max Payne 3 does _not_ come to the PC, I won't be buying it. Atleast not yet. I'm still on the fence about getting a PS3 for the new God of War. Thats a hard purchase to justify.

PC is always #1 with me ^_^

great link Darkie I was a bit preoccupied that the game wasn't announced for Pc. although, a release date of Winter 2009 is hard to believe. either the company did a tremendous job at keeping this game a secret or they simply didn't want to show any progress at all. All I hope is they get the original voice actor of Max Payne and that they at least keep some of the comic book style storyboard.

And who is that guy with the bushy beard? Max Payne needs a shave!!!

The 1st Max Payne did nothing for me as did the second, so I can't see the 3rd installment getting me worked up :).

Games in general are starting to fall in standards...its sad very sad. Years ago i remember buying PC games 3 and 4 in the space of 2 months. As was said all hype and no substance, millions spent on fancy ads and launches and the games ares**t!

That's been on going since... since... since time began lol.
Seriously, it p**ses me off how every game advertised on TV is FMV...
...Represents actual game play...

Bollocks! A prime example would be a racing game, but it's the replays they show.
That's not the actual game footage. The same when a FPS is advertised. Funny,
because you see the 3rd person view of the shooter. What a load of pish. But I'm no
mug. I wised up to this years and years ago. It's the console twats that never wise
up to it. They're mesmerised by Sony's and Microsofts Subliminal advertising - SONY
especially!!

My rant over! lol

....I'm back, but only as a part-timer... :)

I remember when the original Xbox launched, and there was a Project Gotham Racing ad on tv. It showed actual gameplay, and I said "That looks really cool!". This has not happened since then, and that was over 7 years ago. Either I'm not easily impressed, or the people making the game ads needs to be fired.
