  internet explorer error

tried to update from xp to xp pro,now when i try to get on line i get the internet explore problem must close error .how do i clear everything off the pcu so i can start over ?
i don't have anything on the pcu that i would want to save.

When you boot off your installation disk it looks to see if you have any OS installed already - right?. Then it tell you will have probs if you install another OS - Right?
Just delete the partition, and create an new partition.(At this point you can partition to use the whole disk or create two partitions if you wish.) Then you are away again. You can then do a quick format or a full one.(I would only do a quick format on a new disk, so probably best to do the full format.

Only read the manual as a last resort.
