Woke up to my drive clicking and beeping. need either a good program to recover all the files or a replica of the drive to move the platters too.

its a Maxtor <pos> model number 6y120m013731a sata 3.5 internal drive.
I have tired a few programs that are supposed to recover the files with no luck so far.
in bios it reads as 0.0mb maxtor calypso for some reason..
I have very important things on this drive I need badly!

any help or insight on this would be great!!

out of experience, when a hd starts clicking, forget it. I have used several programs to try and recover data out of dying hds, the one I like best is 'get back data' but I sincerely doubt that is going to be of any help.

You may have to ship to any firm dealing with these situations, see if they can recover that valuable data.

good luck,
