Dreamweaver icon disappeared, displays broken link icon

Here's a weird one. The icon for Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 vanished and now a broken link icon displays instead (the shortcut icons AND .exe within the DW folder).

I can open and run the program fine, however, the broken link icon displays in the toolbar while the program is open.

Anyone have any ideas?

Use CCleaner and have it flush your icon cache. I think it's just labeled as "taskbar cache" and isn't checked by default.

(If you don't have CCleaner, make sure to watch the check boxes otherwise it will install Yahoo toolbar.)

No idea but exactly the same problem.

Didn't try cccleaner yet.

But removed Dreamwaever and reinstalled the whole suite before the icon disappeared.

Head to this directory -> C:\\Users\*username*\AppData (make sure you can see hidden foldes)\Local

Find a file called: iconcache.db and delete it.

Now open Task Manager and restart the explorer.exe process. Now the icon should show up as normal
