Plug........

a question to ask to you..... are you going to stay with the 16:10 or 16:9 aspect ratio or does it matter??

Not sure if they have started to adopt the 16:9 format for the very large end of the monitors (they have with 24: and lower) just yet.... but personally, when it comes to computer monitors, I rather stay with the 16:10 format...

Yep, LED TVs is the future, if they could somehow manage to fix response time quickly, gamers would absolutely love it, but another major factor would be the cost. I think it will take approximately couple of years for an average Joe to experience it.

Plug, I know you don't like me. You'd rather like to ignore my post/suggestions due to heated debate we had exchanged back in 2005. But an honest suggestion REALLY, just get an Apple Cinema HD. I hate Apple, but their Apple Cinema display (30" ONLY) is one of the best display currently available in regards to color reproduction and design.

And hey Athlon 3000+ Venice Rocks, San Diego SUCKS! :P

Supreet,

I dont hate you mate....WTF...I aint gonna fall out with someone on a computer forum. I was reading all the posts and have been looking up the apple screen so have not commented on it yet.....And BTW, The San Diego was a superior chip.

I am still trying to make up my mind....but the reviews I have seen the Dell is a better overall monitor then the apple. As for 3D gaming...gimmick if ever I seen one and I am not going to wait for the LED monitors, I will be getting this new screen in the next week or so.

Thanx for the input guys.

I would prefer the 16:10 but its not a deal breaker.....the reviews are just so good about the Dell....trying to find a few vids on TUBE with peeps gaming.

Guys, use your brain juices and state why my monitor sucks (I know its not the best).
I'm not going to buy another until it dies but I'm curious as to what makes it "crap" or "bad".

22" KDS K-22B2W LCD Monitor: http://www.kdsusa.com/K22mdwb2.asp

My dad has a Samsung 22" Syncmaster (forgot model) and I don't know if it's the glossy screen but to me it looks better than my monitor. Although thanks to the Nvidia Control Panel I have it setup perfectly, thanks to an adjustment in color vibrancy.

Meats that monitor looks fine to me....the contrast ratio is a little low but would need to see it running.

Getting back to the Dell....alot of peeps online have major issues with the AG (Anti Glare) coating on the screen. Its like a fine sprinkling of grey dust that makes photos a tad grainy, not good for me doing my photo editing never mind gaming.

Just as I was about to bite the bullet on this I cant know till I know this coating wont affect me and my gaming ns**t.

There is also a very nice NEC LCD3090WQXi which is dearer but a lovely screen.

The BenQ TFT I have now is the best thing I ever bought, however I have not seen a BenQ 30" screen yet....I have seen the new line of LED monitors they are releasing just now so I might take a look......

As I said to you Plug, Apple 30" Cinema Display.

IPS, great colour reproduction, great response time, looks great, and isn't overly expensive.

Appreciate your understanding Plug. Dublin, are you in agreement that Apple Cinema HD would be the optimum choice?
