I think you may just need better internet, Michael.

My ping averages around 30-50 using onboard ethernet (& video).

Yeah Tam, it was really a random buy. I thought if it would do what it SAID it might actually be useful. I guess it does do something, but not enough to matter(for me). I do think if someone had a crummy connection or was getting very bad FPS online, in-game, that this card might be really great for them. As you saw it did raise my FPS on average by about 10fps which is a decent amount I suppose. I will be RMA'ing it asap, regardless. Worth a try I guess.

If the connection is bad, then the pc must be as well (getting low fps). Solution is to buy a new pc, duh.

Intel Q6600 @ 3.1 GHz | Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 | 2GB OCZ DDR2 800 mhz | Seagate 320 GB | AuzenTech X-Fi Forte 7.1

Lent,

not really....

buying/building a new pc is not going to make the situation any better if you have a bad connection. If you got lag before, you gonna still have lag afterwards... You might get better fps with a newer computer but you'll be looking at a slide show due to lag.
