I'm doubtful the gameplay will be like this. This is just ike the trailer in the first game where a big daddy rushes towards you and when hit you fly like 20 feet away. Or when the big daddy drills through your hand. None of that was in the game! The animations was a thing I felt that was needed in the first game for better immersion.

Kind of hard to say Bioshock 2 sucked when you didn't play it, isn't it? Seems like you only are on about graphics in games now days. The gameplay/story in Bioshock 2 was great, one of my favorite games this year. That video is just cutscene graphics lol.

Who me? :~

Yeah I played and finished Bioshock 2. Honestly I thought the game failed in delivering the convincing atmosphere that the first game had. The story on this one wasn't entertaining or impressive enough to make me care for anything. The only character I had sympathy for was that good guy who was mind controlled or reprogrammed, I forget.

Meats, he's on about me.
Michael - I'm no idiot. Your reply was one that would be aimed at the n00b calibre.
I think you should re-read my original post, and then edit your post.

I did play BS2. I wanted something different. I didn't want what I played in BS1.
I didn't complete BS2. I didn't want to. I don't want De javu in a game. Like I said when
BS2 was released - it should have been an "add on". Also Michael, I did specifically point
out that the trailer is FMV Sequence but the main purpose of my post of this link was to show that
the game is "out of the water" now. To me that's more exciting. The underwater levels
were boring, dark, and gloomy. I liked this in BS1. I did not want the same gloom on BS2.

As for graphics, yes i want lovely lushness, and I want lovley lushness gameplay also.
I want both equally. Games devs seem to want more reality in games these days, I'd rather
they didn't. Another reason why I posted about Bioshock: Infinite. I'd rather a game was
fcukd up, and out of reality. The more obscure the better. When I play a game, I want to
disperse into that reality. Not play a game of modern events. I see that every day on the
news!

Yeaah that trailer was pretty exciting, I didn't expect a floating city, even though it looks like something I have seen before. Now that I think of it it reminds me of the recent Astro Boy movie.

One thing I think would be cool is if this game was made more RPGish. I would like to talk and explore the city a lot more. If this game would suddenly turn out to be like Deus Ex 1 or 2 then I would crown it a winner!

I've never played Deus Ex. Would you believe it?!

Here's a link from the Creative Director: Ken levine with in in-depth detail of how this
game will pan out. You do actually converse with other characters, etc.

I thought you were saying that video is actual gameplay graphics and mechanics. It's hard to say if this new game will be any good or not. I think if someone was a 'true' fan of Bioshock, they would have liked Bioshock 2. They changed enough to make it interesting, while keeping some elements of the first game as well.

I hate when a sequel game has NOTHING to do with the previous game, it's just stupid and doesn't even make sense. If it has nothing to do with it, call it something different. This happened with Far Cry and Far Cry 2. I personally thought Bioshock 2 was good.

2012? Seriously? These guys should be beaten on general principle for pulling this crap two years before even the scheduled release date >:o

Interesting I learned that this game actually takes place before the events in Rapture, probably before it even was created as this one is set in 1912 whereas Rapture was in the 30's or 50's if I'm not mistaken.

So, will this mean there is no plasmid to use? Since If I remember correctly the ADAM was discovered in Rapture at a much later time.

I started playing BioShock on an Xbox 360 last week -- couldn't really get into it.

The storyline was really good, but the gameplay itself seemed pretty plain.

Ditto. I started playing the demo and couldn't even finish it. Boring.

Yeah, 9.7 and 9.0/10, terrible! Bioshock games weren't the best games ever, but considering every FPS game now days is just shoot-kill-shoot-kill-war-1942-based-crap I'd say Bioshock is very different from many games out there.

Yes, because reviews are always right?

The story I thought was very original, and quite interesting. But the overall gameplay wasn't terribly exciting. I'll still probably finish it up though.

I am sorry guys, after the ending for the first Bioshock, I couldn't bring myself to play the second one.

Check just about any website review and you will see similar scores. I don't know what you expect from an FPS game, honestly. The gameplay in Bioshock 2 especially was some of the most fun to be had in any SP FPS.

Hmm, just because reviews say something is good, does not mean everyone will automatically think it is.

Review websites and ejaculations over Oblivion and Fallout 3, and I thought they were a massive pile of cack.

Bioshock 1 was good, the gunplay was nice, the story interesting and the world it was based in was fascinating. Bioshock 2 I never really played, and how anyone can possibly make a judgement on what this game will be like after one pretty bloody average trailer is beyond me.

The first play through on Oblivion was great. You really have to play Morrowind(the previous game) to fully enjoy Oblivion. One of the best RPG's ever made without a doubt. Fallout 3 - I didn't care for either. Dave, try Bioshock 2, if you liked Bioshock 1 there's no reason you wouldn't like 2.

To me Infinite looks good, and it's obscure - more so than Bioshock. I like the fact
that they have now left behind the underwater world in favour of an outside world that's
colourful, out of reality. I don't know how the game's going to pan out on release date.
Also I have included an interview link with Ken Levine who describes how the game will play.
