Hi Guys,

For some reason I cannot turn this off, I have tried looking in audio options (even showing disabled devices) but no luck, people can hear my music over the mic and its quite annoying, any ideas?

I guess i am a little confused about your problem. More details when asking a question is very helpful.

I assume that you are using vent/ts3 or web cam.
You are playing music through your speakers and the mic picks this up or are you playing music through your head phones and the mic is picking this up?

If you are trying to get chat and music through your head phones, on some mobo/sound cards you may have to unplug or turn off your main speakers for the media player to play through the head set as it thinks your main speakers are priority.

If you do not have a sound card, buying one no more then 5 years old should cure this problem. Older ones don't make your head set a priority and most on board sound does not differentiate either.

If this is not what you are talking about, please be more specific.

Turn your mic off. Problem solved.

Or if using vent/TS3 etc use 'push-to-talk' should help relieve the issue.

However, if it is merely the fact that your mic is picking up the music you're playing - well, isn't it working as it should?
