i have a asus sabertooth p67 and bios is kind of buggy . double boot issues . i still have that issue after updating bios 2x im on 1305 right now . though some say it fixed some say it didnt. guess its a hit or miss. if your into ocing i got mines to 5.0ghz

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1717067

though i couldnt run linx as long as i wanted to only did 4 passes no errors and temps wen up to 85c + reaching 90c so i stopped it . some other brands you might wanna check out gigabyte ud5 if you have a bigger budget get the ud7 . cant speak for other brands . ive only had asus and gigabyte boards. i did have a msi board but it was a realy budget one but it was reliable .

yeah i'm still debtating. lol debating as they go out of stock again on the egg. .. i heard some of the asus boards had trouble with the bios and with booting ......especially with the automatic overcloking feature getting the failed oc message but most of the reviews slober over the p8p67 deluxe and pro and of course that "pretty bios". i was also looking at one of the higher end gigabytes. i can't bring myself to msi even with the reviews.

it seems like the right time to upgrade. usb3, sata 6, sandy bridge chipset. i have a socket 775 q6600 right now the 2500k build will double my ram speed and add 1.5ghz to my processor speed and all the new chipset benefits. i hold on to my equipment for a while so whatever i get will be with my for at least 2 years but this upgrade seems like no brainer. how were you cooling your rig?

only thing holding me back from the trigger is bios glitches maybe i should just stop reading.

i have a crappy tt v9 case one intake fan on lower front of case. h50 with 2 fan config blowing air in the top back of the case and a 230mm blowing air out on the top of the case. im at 4.5ghz right now with 1.28v running linx 50x temps never goes above 70s jumps from mid 50s to high 60s so far still running i got like 20 more runs then its done witht he 50 runs. other boards are asrock extreme had a good review also a biostar tp67. i might get the asrock one while my board is in the rma process lol . and wen i get back my asus board choose wich one i wanna keep and sell the other on craigs list lol. but asus is taking so long to even give me a rma number lol.

yeah alot of places are sold out on motherboards. another board that caught my eyes was asrock fatality board pretty good review too .since you aint gonna build for awhile since mobo shortage . ilf you can wait amd new cpu comes out in june .

.
It's quite possibly too late, but I did remember this thread when I saw this deal on an MSI board. I'm almost exclusively AMD so can't tell you much about this board.

Newegg is having a very good "shellshocker" sale (good til midnight PDT) on a Z68

$90 (after $20 rebate and instant $20 "shellshocker") instead of usual $130
