Not even conspiracy theories. These military a**holes have no idea what their super-heating of the ionosphere is gonna cause. If they want to go kill each other that's fine but leave my planet alone. I wouldn't be as worried if the installation and experiments were being run by anyone but the military. In this case the Navy. They already know how to predict weather. They want to control it and weaponize it. That's what i think this is about. i haven't demonstrated against anything (though I'm certainly not opposed to speaking my mind) since the night i was at the Ambassador Hotel when Bobby Kennedy was killed after changing his route to where i was from a planned one to a not very defensible or protected one. I mean the kitchens? Except for a short time in the employ of Greenpeace, but that was more of just a job. Fundraising and crap but on salary.
Anyway, this H.A.A.R.P. thing I've been watching for a long time. Now that the Europeans and Russians and probably Chinese are getting more into this, it's time to kick up a fuss and get it noticed by more people. I'm old I'm falling apart probably will be toast before another decade passes. I'm doing it for my kid and all you young ones out there. The times right for change. I'm going to the demonstration in downtown Los Angeles. If anyone else wants to go they need to check where in their area. They are all gonna be on January 6th is what I've been told.

I tried to read the Skeptoid article. I really did. I think of myself as open minded. I unfortunately only got as far as "with a maximum transmission power of 3600 kilowatts, about 75 times the power of a commercial radio station" Another government misinformation web site. Sorry. A modern household microwave oven is only about 1 kilowatt but cooks a chicken quite efficiently. 3600 kilowatts. 1 kilowatt is 1000 watts. that equal's 3,600,000W. Unfortunately, and here is where the distinction between exaggeration and outright lie gets fuzzy. The facility transmits at 3600 kilowatts but the EFFECTIVE RADIATED POWER is 5.1GW. That's 5.1 BILLION watts. that will cook a pretty big chicken. And being a conspiracy nut (question everything) you can not tell me with absolute assurance that one of those secret military satellites up there that we launch all the time, doesn't have the ability to bounce the beam (which can be focused) back to earth. As for D.A.R.P.A. being benign? Ya, just look up an Admiral Poindexter and a project called T.I.A. or Total Information Awareness that he was gonna run out of D.A.R.P.A.. They don't just run around the desert with remote control cars. THEY ARE BIG BROTHER! Controlling the weather has been a military dream since there was a military. Controlling eartquakes is an added bonus if they can bounce the beam back to earth and super heat the crust. They have no clue what the effects of this "research" will be on the planet. They need to go try it on their own planet and leave mine alone. Sorry Skeptoid and it's host (a slightly recognizable celebrity to somehow [I don't know how but it doesn't work for me] add legitimacy to his talk) are epic fail material. Just another mouthpiece for paid for bad science and governmental misinformation. He ain't changing my mind on this one.

EDIT: They do this every year on Jan 6th. Funny Google draws a blank. I wonder why?
