Hi guys,

I have recently purchased a surface pro 2 and when it boots up i just get a dark blue screen with no writing or anything on it.

Is there a way I can get into safe mode? it is using windows 8

Any help would be much appreciated, atm I am just holding a light brick.... that doesnt do anything

If a new product is acting up as a general rule I always replace it in the store, not RMA but an actual replacement. I would suggest you do that since there's no telling what you might experience as it gets older.

I don't know if you tried this yet but it seems like the best solution:
